Abstract
An experiment was conducted to study the effect of micronutrients
application on nutrient removal and performance of Urd bean in sandy loan
soil during Kharif 2007 Eight different treatments were replicated thrice in a
randomized block design. The soil of experimental site was low in organic
carbon and medium in available phosphorus and potassium.
Treatments were recommended NPK (T1), recommended NPK + Fe
@ 2.5 mg kg' 1 + (T2), recommended NPK + Mo @ 1.0 mg kg·1 (T3) ,
recommended NPK + B @ 2.5 mg kg'1 (T4), recommended NPK + Fe @
2.5 mg kg'1 + Mo@ 1.0 mg kg'1 (T5), recommended NPK +Fe@ 2.5 mg
kg'1 + B @ 2.5 mg kg'1 (T6}, recommended NPK + Mo@ 1.0 mg kg·'+ B@
2.5 mg kg·1 (T7), recommend NPK +Fe@ 2.5 mg kg'1 + Mo@ 1.0 mg kg'1
+ B @ 2.5 mg kg'1 (T8) . Significantly lower grain yield, effective nodules
micronutrient content in plant sample were obtained with T, treatment
where only recommended NPK was applied The treatment where
recommended NPK + Fe @ 2.5 mgkg'1 + Mo @ 1.0 mgkg' 1 + B @ 2.5
mgkg 1 produce stgnificantly the htghest gratn and straw yteld and
micronutrient content and tl was statistically at par with the treatments
where recommended NPK +Fe@ 2.5 mgkg'1 + Mo@ 1.0 mgkg·1 (T5) or
recommended NPK + Fe@ 2.5 mgkg'' + B@ 2.5 mgkg'1 (T6) were applied
and significantly superior over rest of the treatments. From the above study
it also seems that application of micronutrient along with recommended
NPK improved its content in soil in comparison to control. The chemical
properties of soil in the rest of the treatments improved slightly.
