Abstract

The present investigation entitled "Impact of Integrated Nutrient Management on the performance of summer tomato (Lycopersicon escu/antum Mill.)" was conducted at Horticultural Research Centre of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut during summer season of 2010. The experiment was laid of factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three replications. The experiment consisted of eight treatments viz. T1 (120kg N + 60kg P20s + 80kg K20/ha), T2 (150kg N + 75kg P20 5 + 1 OOkg K20/ha), T 3 (90kg N + 45kg P20s + 60kg K20 + 2 tonnes V.C./ha), T4 (60kg N + 30kg P205 + 40kg K20 + 5 tonnes V.C./ha), Ts (90kg N + 45kg P20 5 + 60kg K20 + 15 tonnes FYM/ha), Ts (60kg N + 30kg P20s + 40kg K20 + 30 tonnes FYM/ha), T7(10 tonnes FYM), Ta (Control). Objective of the study were:- 1. To investigate the effect of various integrated nutrition treatments on growth attribute of tomato 2. To examine the effect of different integrated nutrition treatments on yield attribute of tomato. 3. To work out the economic feasibility of various treatments. Conclusion: It is concluded on the basis of above investigation that the combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers i.e. treatment T s (60kg N + 30kg K20 + 40kg P20 5 + 30 tonnes FYM/ha) was recommended for summer tomato cultivation under the condition of western plain zone of Utter Pradesh.
