The present investigation entitled "Studies on integrated nutrient management in Okra
(Abelmoschus escu/entus L.) cv.Arka Anamika". was conducted at Horticultural
Research Centre of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and
Technology, Meerut during summer season of 2009. The experiment was laid out in
Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three replications. The experiment consisted of
eight treatments viz.T1 (150kg N + 60kg P20s + 60kg K20/ha), T2 (90kg N + 30kg P20s
+ 30kg K20 +10 tones FYM/ha), T3 (75kg N + 40kg P20s + 40kg K20 + 10 tones FYM
+20 kg ZnSOJha), T4 (90kg N + ~Okg P20s + 30kg K20 + 5 tones VC/ha), Ts (75kg N
+ 40kg P20s + 40kg K20 + 5 tones VC +20 kg ZnS04/ha), T6 (10 tones VC +20 kg
ZnSOJha), T7(15 tones FYM+20 kg ZnSOJha), Ta (Control). Objective of the study
were:-
1. To find out the effect of plant nutrients through organic and their integration on
growth and yield character of okra.
2. To work out the economics of different treatments.
Conclusion: It is concluded on the basis of above investigation that the combination
of organic and inorganic fertilizers i.e. treatment T 5 (75kg N + 40kg P20 5 + 40kg K20 +
5 tones VC +20 kg ZnS04 /ha), was recommended for under the agro climatic
conditions of Meerut region of Uttar Pradesh.
