Abstract
In the present investigation "comparison of different diets on the growth
performance and c~nformation traits in broiler" was studies. In this study 40 day old chick
o! Cobb- ~00 stram was ta~en and divided into four equal groups, each were fed
different d1ets.Feed consumpt1on,body weight gain, feedconversion ratio (FCR), shank
length, keel bone length, and hock circumference were measured
Average feed consumption of broiler chicks up to 6 week of age for the group fed
diet T1, T2, T3 and T4 was found 4243.90 ± 20.69, 3432.50 ± 14.31 , 3395.80 ± 11.41 and
3727.50 ± 1.45 gm, respectivelyOverall average feed consumptionwas 3699.92 ± 13.83
gm. Significant differences (P<0.05) exist in feed consumption of broiler chicks among
different treatment of diet fed to broiler chickens during different phase ..
Average weight of day old chicks(DOC) was 36.3 ± 0.831, 37.3 ± 1.096, 37.4 ±
1.097 and 33.8 ± 0.987 gm. for the group T 1, T 2, T 3 and T 4 diet to be fed respectively,
Average body weight gain of broiler chicks during 4-5 week of age for the group
fed diet T1, T2 , T3& T4was found 507.60 ± 1.70, 437.30 ± 1.00, 415.70 ± 1.16 and 481 .90
± 0.94 gm respectively. Overall average weight gain was 460.62 ± 1.24 gm.
Average body weight gain of broiler chicks during 5-6 week of age for the group
fed diet T1, T2 , T3& T 4was found 533.00 ± 1.1 0, 453.80 ± 1.19, 436.30 ± 1.16 and 504.40
± 1.36 gm respectively.Overall average weight gain was 481 .77 ± 1.21 gm.
Average body weight gain of broiler chicks up to 6 week of age for the group fed
diet T1, T2, T3 and T4 was found 2174.20 ± 4.87, 1875.40 ± 3.97, 1780.20 ± 2.83 and
20.62 ± 4.07 gm respectively. Overall average body weight gain was 1972.95 ± 4.00
gm. significant differences (P<0.05) exist in body weight gain of broiler chicks among
different treatment of diet fed to broiler chicks. Average feed conversion ratio (FCR) of
diet T1 T2 T3& T4 was 1.945 ± 0.008, 1.838 ± 0.016, 1.891 ± 0.011and .757 ± 0.077.
Feed conversion ratio ranged from 1.757 ± 0.077 to 1.945 ± 0.008. Overall average feed
conversion ratio was 1.85 ± 0.028 up to 6 week of age. At the age of 6 week average
shank length, keel bone length and hock circumference of broilerfed diet T1, T2, T3 and T4
was found 81 .90 ± 0.90, 73.10 ± 0.82, 70.60 ± 1.23 and 79.20 ± 1.12 mm ; 104.20 ±
1.21, 98.50 ± 1.06, 94.70 ± 1.05 and 102.60 ± 1.03 mm; 84.40 ± 1.01, 76.00 ± 1.11,
72.70 ± 0.87 and 82.40 ± 0.93 mm , respectively. Overall averageshank length,keel
bone length and hock circumference was 76.20 ±1.03, 100.00 ± 1.09, and78.87 ± 0.98
mm, respectively. It may be concluded from present investigation that there 1s ~o need fo~ replac1ng
of diet control, because lowest feed conversion ratio was observed 1n control d1et,
