A field experiment was conducted during Rabi season of 2005-06.The experiment comprised of twelve treatments and was laid out in Randomized Bock Design with four replication. Growth parameters such as plant height, number of tillers per metre row length, and dry matter accumulation were significantly influenced by different treatment. Application of organic and inorganic fertilizers and yield attributes viz, length of spike, number of spikelets per spike, number of grain per spike, and 1000- grain weight were also influenced significantly. Application of 75% NPK + FYM @ 10 t/ha + foliar spray of ZnS04 @ 0.5 % at 30 DAS has shown the maximum plant height, number of tillers per metre row length, dry matter accumulation, length of spike, number of spikelets per spike, number of grain per spike and 1000- grain weight which were at par with 75% NPK + Vermicompost@ 3 t/ha + foliar spray of ZnS04 @ 0.5 % at 30 DAS. Grain straw and biological yield and their nutrient (NPK) uptake were maximum by application of 75% NPK + FYM @ 10 tfha + fot"iar spray of ZnS04@ 0.5% at 30 DAS. The highest protein content (13.12 %) was found under the treatment NPK + FYM @ 10 t/ha + foliar spray of ZnS04@ 0.5 % at 30 DAS. Based on one year observations the highest net return was found under the treatment 75% NPK + FYM @10 tlha +foliar spray of ZnS04@ 0.5% at 30 DAS (Tt2), and also the treatment 75% NPK+ FYM @10 tfha +foliar spray of Z~S~ ~S (T,2) was get maximum benefitk: (I: 1.85).
