Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Crop Research Centre of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology Meerut, U.P. during spring season of 2015. The experimental was layout in randomized block design \.v ith ten treatments, three replications and variety was SML-668. Objectives of study were to assess the effect of nutrient management on spring mungbean, to find out effect of different treatment on soil fertility, grain quality, uptake of nutrients, plant growth, yield and to compute the economics of different treatments. Among all the treatment application of N ( 18 kg), P ( 46 kg), K (30 kg), S (20 kg), Zn (20 kg), Fe (5 kg), Rhizobium and PSB gave maximum growth and yield attributes as well as root length and number of active nodules planf1 , N, P, K, S, Zn and Fe content and uptake by mungbean, and available N, P, K, S, Zn and Fe in soil. The highest plant height (53.5 em) was recorded in T10 treatment due to nutrient management, an increase of 60 percent over control were recorded , the highest grain yield (1344.4 kg) was recorded in T10 treatment, an increase of 381 and 64 percent over control and N P K respectively in grain yield were recorded due to nutrient management and also to be found significantly higher gross return, net return and increment in nutrient availability compare to control treatments.
