dc.description.abstractBrassica is the world's second largest oilseed crop in the world which belongs to the family Crucifereae. Brassica crops are mainly cultivated for the production of edible oils, spices, condiments and livestock feedings also and it is the rich source of protein. There are some external factors which adversely affect the plant growth results in stresses, commonly abiotic and biotic stresses. Alternaria brassicae, a common fungal pathogen is a kind of biotic stress which causes a disease known as Alternaria blight in mustard. It affects the plant growth from the seedling to the adult stage and can also deteriorate the quality and quantity of the oil. Alternaria species generate a Alt a 1, a 30-kDa dimer that contributes the pathogenicity to the fungi, which serves as the major mediator of the respiratory system and allergy responses. There has been no resistance to Alternaria brassicae discovered in cruciferous yet so the study was designed to analyze the molecular study of the protein using in silico tools. Protein secondary and tertiary structures and the verification of the tertiary structure was done by PROCHECK making Ramachandran plot which is showing the no disallowed regions. Various physical and chemical parameters was measured using Protparam showing the amount of a particular amino acid is present, Ala is present in the higher amount 10.2% and their GRAVY value -0.278 which indicates that the protein is more hydrophilic. Peptide mass of protein showing the difference between the mass of the proteins restricted by using different enzymes. Their ancestral relationship was also found out which is showing the higher similarity (100%) between the various species of different genera i.e., Alternaria rosetellata, Alternaria cassiae, Alternaria beta-kenyensis, Alternaria blumeae, Alternaria anagallilidis var. anagallidis.
