A field experiment was conducted during Kharif season of 2022 at Crop Research Centre Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel university of Agriculture & technology, Meerut (U.P.), India. The experimental soil was low in organic carbon, Nitrogen and medium in available P and K. The experiment was conducted in RBD with three replications comprising ten weed management practices viz. Weedy check, Weed free, Pendimethalin(PE) 750 g a.i./ha, Propaquizafop (PoE) 125 g a.i./ ha at 20 DAS, Imezathyper (PoE) 75 g a.i./ ha at 20 DAS, Two hand weeding 20 and 40 DAS, Pendimethalin(PE) 750 g a.i./ha fb 1 HW at 20 DAS, Propaquizafop+Imezathyper) (POE)50+75g a.i./ha at 20 DAS, Pendimethalin (PE) 750g a.i./ha fb Imezathyper (PoE)75g a.i./ha at 20 DAS and Pendimethalin (PE)750g a.i./ha fb Quizolofop ethy (PoE)50g a.i./ha at 20 DAS. The result indicate that chemical method of weed control significantly reduced the weed population and dry weight effectively over weedy check. The tallest plants, higher number of branches plant, dry matter accumulation, weed control efficiency, nutrient uptake and grain yield was recorded with the application of Pendimethalin (PE) 750 g a.i./ha fb 1 HW at 20 DAS followed by Pendimethalin (PE) 750g a.i./ha fb Imezathyper (PoE)75g a.i./ha at 20 DAS which established its superiority over rest of the herbicides. Similarly, application of Pendimethalin (PE) 750 g a.i./ha fb 1 HW at 20 DAS resulted into higher gross return, net return and B: C ratio. The total nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium uptake by green gram crop were recorded higher under Pendimethalin (PE) 750 g a.i./ha fb 1 HW at 20 DAS respectively
