The present investigation entitled "Studies on clonal propagation in Amrapali mango (Mangifera indica L.) under Western Uttar Pradesh conditi'ons", was conducted at Horticultural Research Centre of University during 2009-10 and 2010-11 under subtropical climactic conditions of Western Uttar Pradesh with a view to find out the response of Amrapali mango to grafting height of rootstock (OS-20cm) and time (February to October) and techniques (Veneer, Softwood and Epicotyl) of grafting. Veneer grafting performed in the month of August at 20cm height of rootstock was found to be the best technique in terms of days taken for bud sprouting, sprouting percentage, graft height, scion length, rootstock length, number of leaf per graft, leaf length of graft, survival percentage, saleable percent etc. Softwood grafting was found better than epicotyl grafting when performed in August at 20cm height. The epicotyl grafting though least effective among three techniques also responded better in August at higher height of rootstock. Therefore, veneer grafting should be preferred over softwood and epicotyl grafting in order to get early sprouting and better survival and over all sprout growth for commercial propagation of quality plants of Amri:=ags under climatic conditions of Western Uttar Pradesh
