| dc.description.abstract | The present study ~as ~onducted on the data collected from the experimental growth performance and carcass ~~ahty of Cobb 400 strain of broiler work was carried out under Poultry Re~earch an~ Tra.mmg Ce~tre, College of Veterinary and Animal Science, at Sardar Vallabhbhai Pa~el Um.versity of Agnculture & Technology Modipuram, Meerut. 144 birds Cobb 4?~ of ~ynthetic stram were selected randomly and used for the study purpuse (DOC) and d1~1ded mto four eq~al groups, each were fed different diets. Feed consumption, Body weight g~m, feed .convers.IOn ratio (FCR) and Live weight, dressing percent, cookin yield percent,pH,giblet weight and drumstick weight were measured. Average feed consumption of broiler chicks up to 6 week of age for the group fed diet T1 T2, T3 and T4 was found 3462.39 ± 6.304, 3640.59 ± 6.725, 3520.59 ± 7.068 and 3564.19 ± 6.080 gm, respectively. The overall average feed consumption for T1, T2, T3 and T4 was 3546.94 ±6.544gm, up ·to six week of age. Significant differences (P<0.05) exist in feed consumption of broiler chicks among different treatment of diet fed to broiler chickens during different diet. Average body weight gain of broiler chicks up to 6 week of age for the group T1. T2, T3 & T4 was found 1956.52±6.114, 2208.57±5.978, 2021.53±6.235 and 2090.29±6.759 gm respectively. The overall average weight gain for T1, T2, T3, and T4 was 2071.48 ±6.271 gm, up to six week of age. Significant differences (P<0.05) exist in body weight gain of broiler chicks among different treatment of diet fed to broiler chicks. Average feed conversion ratio of diet T1, T2, T3 & T4 was found 1.770 ± 0.003, 1.648 ± 0.003, 1.742 ± 0.003 and 1.698 ± 0.0052. The overall average feed conversion ratio for T1, T2, T3, and T4 was 1.714 ± 0.003, up to six week of age. The feed conversion ratio (FCR) during up to 6 weeks of broiler chicks of all the treatment groups differ significantly (P<0.05) to each other. At the age of 6 week average live weight, dressing percent, cooking yield percent, pH, giblet weight and drumstick weight of broiler fed diet T1, T2, T3 and T4was found1995.86±6.643, 2248.26±7.005, 2061.79±7.207, and 2140.42±7.061 gm 70.36±0.43, 73.56±0.59, 71.85±0.45, and 72.78±0.48; 58.43±0.59, .62.87±0.54, 61.68±0.51, and 62.21±0.54; 5.68±0.015, 5.65±0.006, 5.69±0.012 and 5.67±0.006; 4.82±0.006, 5.35±0.015, 5.13±0.012, and 5.21±0.012 ~nd 3 I .39±0.39, 33.65±0.27, 32.84±0.20, and 33.42±0.28 respectively. The overal.l me~ of hve weight, dressing percent, cooking yield percent, pH, giblet weight and drumstick wei?ht was 2111.58±6.979, 72.07±0.49, 61.29±0.55, 5.67±0.009, 5.12±0.011 and 32.96±0.29 respectiv~1y. | |
