Parasitic diseases pose significant challenges to the poultry industry, resulting in substantial economic losses and potential risks to human health. Accurate and timely diagnosis of these diseases is cmcial for effective disease management and prevention. This abstract presents an overview of a proposed Parasitic Disease Diagnostic Laboratory specifically designed for poultry, aiming to enhance the identification and control of parasitic infections in poultry populations. The Parasitic Disease Diagnostic Laboratory will be equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, including advanced microscopy techniques, molecular biology assays, and serological testing methods. These tools will enable the detection and characterization of various parasitic pathogens, such as protozoa, helminths, and arthropods, that commonly afflict poultry species. The laboratory will employ a multi-disciplinary approach, integrating the expertise of veterinarians, parasitologists, and molecular biologists to ensure accurate and reliable diagnoses. Specialized protocols and standardized procedures will be established to handle and process poultry samples, ensuring the preservation of sample integrity and minimizing the risk of cross-contamination. In addition to diagnostic services, the laboratory will play a vital role in surveillance and research activities. Regular monitoring of parasitic infections in poultry populations will facilitate the early detection of emerging pathogens and help identify potential risk factors contributing to disease outbreaks. The laboratory will also serve as a platform for collaborative research eff011s, fostering partnerships with academic institutions, industry stakeholders, and government agencies to advance knowledge on poultry parasitology and develop innovative control strategies.
