A field experiment was conducted during Rabi season, 2012-13 to study the Effect of INM practices on performance of mustard crop (Brassicajuncea L.) and physicochemical properties of soil, Pusa Kranti variety was sown at crop research center (CRC), Chirori of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut. The soil of experimental field was alkaline in nature with pH 8.2, EC 0.19 dS m-1 , bulk density 1.51 Mg/m3 , low in OC 0.45% and available nitrogen 232.0 kg ha·1 , medium in available phosphors 16.60 kg ha-1 , available potassium 259.70 kg ha-1 with sandy loam texture. The 10 treatments of different lNM practices, T1 Control (Without NPK), T2 (100% NPK) (P Through SSP), T3 (75% NPK + VC@ 1.5 t ha-1 T4 75% NPK + FYM@ 5.0 t ha-1 ), T5 (75% NPK + Pressmud@ 2.0 t ha-1 ), T6 (75% NPK + VC@ 0.75 t ha-1+ FYM @ 2.5 t ha-1 ), T7 (75% NPK + VC@ 0.75 t ha-1+ Pressmud @ 1.0 t ha-1 ), T8 (75% NPK + FYM@ 2.5 t ha-1+ Pressmud@ 1.0 t ha-1 ), T9 (100% NPK) (P Through DAP), T10 (125% R.D.F) were replicated thrice in a randomized block design The results reveal that plant height, number of primary as well as secondary branches per plant, siliqua per plant, seeds per siliqua and test weight were affected significantly by different approaches of nutrient sources. Application of 125% NPK gave the maximum grain yield (18.60 q ha-1 ) which increased by 126.82% over control and all the above growth and yield parameters were also found better with the application of 125% NPK. The maximum uptake ofN, P, K by mustard grain and stover was recorded as 49.98 and 38.48 kg hat1 , 8.60 and 11.23 kg ha-1 , 1.1.17 and 112.38 kg ha-1 respectively in 125% NPK and residual available N, P and K was also higher in 125% NPK than the other treatments. In the light of abstract given above, it may be supposed that for achieving good performance and productivity of mustard, 125% NPK should preferred over other
