Abstract
The present investigation entitled "INFLUENCE OF V ARlO US CHEMICALS
IN RELATION TO POST HARVEST BEHAVIOUR OF GREEN HOUSE
GROWN CUT ROSE CV. FIRST RED" was conducted at Horticulture Research
Center of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut.
Total ll treatments (Including Control) was carried out to find out the best treatment for
Longer vase- life & quality of flower, Out of I I treatments, 4% sucrose +citric acid
(300ppm) for 24 hrs was found best in term of Longer vase- life (14 days), high water
uptake (50.53ml), flower diameter (7.43 em), Dry weight (0.23 g).
