Abstract
A survey had been conducted in Hapur and Bhojpur blocks of the
Ghaziabad district. Ten villages from each block were purposively selected for
the study. The study was conducted to know the participation of rural farm
women in cauliflower cultivation, their participation in decision making process,
involvement of farm women in work during cauliflower cultivation.
The findings of the study show that the knowledge level of farm women
regarding cauliflower cultivation was not satisfactory. Their involvement in
decision making process is very low in cauliflower cultivation. Rural farm women
were having high level of involvement in work in agricultural operations of
cauliflower. The overall participation of rural women in cauliflower cultivation in
high, 39 percent of the women were having high !~vel of participation in
cauliflower cultivation. Based on the results obtained in the present study, it can be concluded
that rural farm women actively participate in all agricultural practices of
cauliflower cultivation but in decision making they are not actively participating
due to illiteracy and male dominancy in the society. So women play a very pivotal
role in agricultural production.
