Abstract

Oyster mushrooms are one of the most important edible mushrooms total world production of mushroom was 3.41 million tonnes while production in India was 126000 metric tonnes while oyster mushroom production in India was 6.3 metric tonnes in 2010. Present investigations showed that the circular colonies and even type margin, colony colour of P. djamor and P. sajor caju was observed. In case of spawn growth, among different organic supplements, wheat grain + pigeon pea flour @ 2% was found effective in P. djamor and wheat grain + lentil flour @ 2% in P. sajor-caju. While in different inorganic supplements, Magnesium sulphate 0.5% was found effective in P. djamor and ferrous sulphate 0.5 % in P.sajor-caju. While in different grains ratio, bajra + wheat grain 1:1 and sorghum + wheat grain 1:1 was found effective in P. djamor and P. sajor-caju. In different grains, oat was found effective in P. djamor and pea and jawar in P. sajor-caju. In different cereal flour, maize flour 2 % and rice flour 1% was found effective in P. djamor and maize flour 2 % and sorghum flour 2% in P. sajor-caju.While in cereal and pulse grains, wheat + urd 1:2 and wheat + moong 1:2 was found effective in P. djamor and wheat + urd 1:2 and wheat + moong 1:1 in P. sajor-caju. In botanicals extracts (spices plants) and different chemicals, maximum spawn growth was recorded in control in both Pleurotus species. In different growth regulators, GA 20% and NAA 20%were found better in P. djamor and GA 20% in P. sajor caju. In case of yield, rice flour 1% enhances the yield significantly in both Pleurotus species. For different pulse flour, pigeon pea flour @ 2% also enhances the yield in both Pleurotus species. While in different inorganic additives, ferrous sulphate 1.0% enhances the yield in both Pleurotus species. Different growth regulators, GA @ 20 ppm was found better for enhance the yield of P. djamor and GA @ 20 ppm for P. sajor-caju. While in different Medicinal and Spices plants leaf, maximum yield was observed in control and minimum disease incidence was observed in Garlic leaf @ 6% in both species. In different fungicides, maximum yield was observed in Mancozeb 0.01% in P. djamor and in P. sajor-caju in control while minimum disease incidence was observed in Mancozeb 0.02% in P. djamor and in P. sajor-caju.
