In the present investigation "Evaluation of growth performance of broiler under different composition of diets" was studies. In this study 40 day old chick of Cobb- 400 strain was taken and divided into four equal groups, each were fed different diets. Feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion ratio (FCR)·, shank length, keel bone length, and hock circumference were measured. Average feed consumption of broiler chicks upto 6 week of age for the group fed diet T1. T2, T3 and T4 was found 3721.60 ± 10.50, 4248.60 ± 6.01 , 3403.90 ± 6.73 and 3771.50 ± 7.47 (g) respectively. Overall average feed consumption was 3661.40 ± 7.68 (g). Significant differences (P<o:os) exist in feed consumption of broiler chicks among different treatment of diet fed to broiler chickens during different phase. Average weight of day old chicks (DOC) was 35.4 ± .909, 35.1 ± 1.178, 36.5 ± 1.097 and 36.4 ± .909 (g). For the group T1. T2, T3 and T4 diet to be fed respectively. Average body weight gain of broiler chicks during 5-6 week of age for the group fed diet T1, T2, T3 & T4 was found 506.60 ± 1.09, 535.20 ± 1.50, 446.00 ± 1.22 and 438.30 ± 1.28 (g). Overall average weight gain was 481.52 ± 1.27 (g). Average body weight gain of broiler chicks upto 6 week of age for the group fed diet T1. T2, T3 and T4 was found 2065.60 ± 2.26, 2178.70 ± 3.01, 1833.30 ± 1.95 and 1794.20 ± 5.07 (g) respectively. Overall average body weight gain was 1967.95 ± 3.07 (g). Significant differences (P<0.05) exist in body weight gain of broiler chicks among different treatment of diet fed to broiler chicks. Average feed conversion ratio (FCR) of diet T1, T2, T3 & T4 was 1.797 ± 0.006, 1.946 ± 0.005, 1.852 ± 0.003 and 1.817 ± 0.003 respectively. Feed conversion ratio ranged from 1.97 ± 0.006 to 1.946 ± 0.005. Overall average feed conversion ratio was 1.85 ± 0.004 upto 6 week of age. At the age of 6 week average shank length, keel bone length and hock circumference of broiler fed diet T1. T2, T3 and T4 was found 80.500 ± 0.687, 82.300 ± 0.559, 76.500 ± 0.860 and 72.900 ± 0.836 mm; 103.000 ± 1.085, 105.100 ± 1.016, 100.990 ± 0.971 and 96.000 ± 0.907 mm; 84.30 ± 0.65, 86.0 ± 0.85, 76.8 ± 0.80 and 71.6 ± 0.83 mm respectively. Overall average shank length, keel bone length and hock circumference was 78.05 ± 0.735, 101.25 ± 0.994 and 79.6 ± 0.78 mm respectively. It may be concluded from present investigation that there is no need for replacing of diet control, because lowest feed conversion ratio was observed in control diet.
